Communications Development

The Big Local SW11, works to address loneliness, isolation and mental health (particularly Anxiety and Depression) using a Community Development approach, enabling others and working in partnership. Their aim is to build a stronger, more resilient community sector by removing barriers that prevent people from realising their potential as residents, workers and volunteers.

Total length of project: 4 hours/week over 2 months

The Big Local SW11 are looking for a volunteer to improve the quality of their communications through the review and improving of current systems and the creation of a new strategy. Initially being driven through the need to distribute Covid-19 funds to the local community, part of the strategy will contain a promotional campaign for these funds to access hard to reach communities. The BLSW11 is supported by limited staff and a team of volunteers, which has to be factored in to any development from the comms review.

For this role we are looking for an experienced volunteer who can quickly assess development areas and support an organisation through the change. Experience of creating strategy docs and campaigns is also required.
