Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative (CHRI) is a global organisation working for the practical realisation of human rights through research, advocacy, capacity building and mobilisation. Locally, the organisation links with the Commonwealth Secretariat and other institutions based in London advocating for human rights promotion and protection within the Commonwealth. In addition, they work closely with our Commonwealth 8.7 Network members focusing on eradicating modern slavery who are based locally. Our London office is small, with 6 in our team plus 4 interns, looking to expand and improve systems and processes.
Total length of project: 24 hours over 3 months
CHRI are looking for support to create a fundraising strategy, as they are currently conducting fundraising activities in an ad hoc manner. With aims to expand, the organisation is trying to ensure stability and long term sustainability of their activities and operations. CHRI would like to explore the feasibility of a variety of funding sources.
For this role we are looking for an individual with experience in creating fundraising strategies. Understanding of various funding streams is also useful for this project.
