Event Planning

Skill: Event Management

Project Duration: 20 hours

Cause: Homelessness

Who we're looking for: We are looking for a volunteer with experience planning, running and raising funds to support events.

Project brief: World Soup Kitchen are looking for a volunteer to help plan events. With a small team and capacity focused on managing and running their soup kitchen, there is little time to focus on holding events that can boost profile of the organisation or raise funds. The volunteer will help World Soup Kitchen plan their event, advise and support on best practice and leave behind an invaluable template that can be used by the time-stretched team on an ongoing basis.

Who you'll be supporting: The World Soup Kitchen (WSK) helps the homeless and less fortunate by providing freshly prepared, hot meals at their soup kitchens in London and Birmingham. In the capital they are covering Peckham, Harlesden and Hackney. Their key areas of activities are providing soup kitchens and food banks giving out hot meals, clothing, groceries and snacks to those that are homeless or on the verge of homelessness.

Project Borough: Hammersmith & Fulham

Project Status: Open

Date: July 7, 2022
