Who we are looking for: We are looking for a Skilled Volunteer with experience designing educational sessions.

Project Brief: The Baytree Centre are looking for a Skilled Volunteer to help them design session plans for their educational after-school clubs. They would like the volunteer to support them in producing 10 session plans in either science or cooking, targeted at students from years 4-6 and years 1-10 respectively. Each session is two hours long and aims to be a fun way to explore the subjects. Baytree Centre do have access to practical equipment available if required. Having session plans will provide more structure to the clubs, which are typically run and supervised by volunteers.

Who you’ll be supporting: The Baytree Centre is a social inclusion charity for women and girls based in the heart of Brixton, South London. They provide holistic support through personal development activities and workshops, mentoring, and coaching, as well as English classes and integration support for newly arrived migrants and refugees. Their goal is to inspire and support women and girls to gain the skills, confidence and wisdom they need to thrive in life, work and family.

Time commitment: This project has an estimated time commitment of 2 hours per week for 3 months, totalling around 24 hours. All Link UP London Skilled Volunteering Projects are designed to work flexibly around the schedule of the Skilled Volunteer. This time commitment can be agreed and spread over a time frame that works for both the Skilled Volunteer and the SGO they are supporting.
