Who We Are Looking For:

Every 3 Seconds is seeking a Skilled Volunteer with experience developing fundraising strategies and producing cases for support.

Project Brief:

Domestic abuse and violence in London is rising, and Every 3 Seconds is responding with specialist recovery programmes that support women to rebuild their confidence, independence and wellbeing. To continue delivering its flagship programme, Oasis of Strength, and expand into additional London boroughs, the organisation now needs a clear and sustainable fundraising strategy.

The Skilled Volunteer will:
  • Develop a 12-month fundraising strategy with clear income targets and priority actions.
  • Research and identify relevant trusts, foundations and grant-makers aligned with the organisation’s mission and objectives.
  • Review and refine their case for support document to clearly articulate need, impact and future ambition.

Who You’ll Be Supporting:

Every 3 Seconds was born from the staggering statistics that every three seconds, a woman is abused globally. Their mission is to eradicate domestic abuse and reduce its negative impacts through programmes designed to empower survivors and educate communities. Their Oasis of Strength programme provides resources to help people better understand their relationships, build their sense of self, and navigate change.

Your impact:

Your work will enable more domestic abuse survivors to access vital recovery services. Your contribution will enable Every 3 Seconds to sustain its existing programmes, expand into underserved London boroughs, and reach more survivors who urgently need support.

Please note: This project has an estimated time commitment of 2 hours per week for 3 months, totalling around 24 hours. All Link UP London Skilled Volunteering Projects are designed to work flexibly around the schedule of the Skilled Volunteer. This time commitment can be agreed and spread over a time frame that works for both the Skilled Volunteer and the SGO they are supporting.
