Duration

Who We Are Looking For:

Mama2Mama is seeking a Skilled Volunteer with strong Excel data management skills to help improve the way their data is organised, calculated, and reported. The ideal volunteer will be confident fixing formulas, managing spreadsheets, and designing data analysis and reporting tools.

Project Brief:

Mama2Mama uses several Excel trackers for their various operations — covering donations, café sales, volunteer activity, and funding. These trackers have been built gradually over time, but now need updating and refining to function more effectively as a cohesive data management system.

The volunteer will:

  • Review current spreadsheets to fix errors, improve key formulae, and automate where possible
  • Streamline assorted trackers into a unified, clearer data management system
  • Build dashboards with key metrics that can be used to generate consistent reporting

Who You’ll Be Supporting:

Mama2Mama is a community charity and café supporting families experiencing hardship. They provide practical items, baby equipment, emergency essentials, and a welcoming community space for parents and carers. In addition, they work to break the cycle of disadvantage by offering assessments for families to plan, monitor and evaluate needed support until they overcome the problems they face, which includes referrals for parenting programmes, targeted family support services, employability, advice and health services. Their mission is to ensure families receive dignified, compassionate support when they need it most.

Your Impact:

By improving Mama2Mama’s Excel systems, you will make their day-to-day work faster and clearer. By having a better data management system, they will be able to better understand how to help families most effectively through improved resourcing and planning. Your work will directly strengthen their ability to deliver consistent, high-quality support to families in hardship who need a helping hand.

Please note: This project has an estimated time commitment of approximately 32 hours. All Link UP London Skilled Volunteering Projects are designed to work flexibly around the schedule of the Skilled Volunteer. This time commitment can be agreed and spread over a time frame that works for both the Skilled Volunteer and the SGO they are supporting.
