Who We Are Looking For:

Justice Futures is seeking a Skilled Volunteer with expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to help develop a sustainable financial model for the organisation.

Project Brief:

Justice Futures requires support from a Skilled Volunteer to create a financial plan that ensures the organisation covers its core costs, with the ultimate goal of achieving financial sustainability and profitability. Currently, Justice Futures uses Xero to track income and expenditure and has a draft business plan, but lacks a structured approach to financial planning and decision-making. This project will involve:

  • Developing a financial plan aligned with business objectives, ensuring services are appropriately costed.
  • Creating a budgeting framework for training, consultancy, research, and events to ensure all workstreams recover core costs.
  • Reviewing financial policies and procedures to strengthen governance and processes, while providing advice on financial best practices moving forward.
Supporting this project and its financial planning will ensure Justice Futures becomes financially sustainable, expanding its impact on transforming justice systems and providing career opportunities for individuals with lived experience of those systems.

Who You’ll Be Supporting:
Justice Futures is a social enterprise dedicated to transforming justice systems through training, consultancy, research, events, and leadership retreats. The organisation supports professionals and communities working for sustainable change and fairness in justice systems. Justice Futures reinvests profits to create career development opportunities for individuals with lived experience of the justice system, helping them build expertise in systems change.

Please note: This project has an estimated time commitment of 2 hours per week for 3 months, totalling around 24 hours. All Link UP London Skilled Volunteering Projects are designed to work flexibly around the schedule of the Skilled Volunteer. This time commitment can be agreed and spread over a time frame that works for both the Skilled Volunteer and the SGO they are supporting.
