Who We Are Looking For:

Tottenham Foodbank is seeking a Skilled Volunteer with experience in developing fundraising strategies and broadening charity income streams.

Project Brief:

Tottenham Foodbank is at a key moment of transition. With some core funding coming to an end, the organisation is focused on developing a sustainable and diverse fundraising model to continue delivering and growing their vital services.

They’ve recently secured part-time funding for a new Fundraising Manager, who is already taking important steps by reviewing past income, identifying potential funders, and attending relevant training. Now, they’re looking for a Skilled Volunteer to help shape a fundraising strategy outlining their key opportunities and priorities.
This project will include:
  • Supporting a review of their current fundraising efforts and identifying opportunities for improvements.
  • Identifying potential funding avenues, exploring grants, individual donations, corporate partnerships, and innovative funding models.
  • Advising on priorities and communications for funding opportunities and recommending key strategies for maximising success in the future.
This project offers the chance to directly influence the long-term sustainability of an essential frontline organisation dedicated to alleviating hunger in their community.

Who You’ll Be Supporting:

Tottenham Foodbank is a grassroots organisation providing emergency food and support to people in crisis across Haringey. Alongside food provision, they work to address the root causes of poverty through advocacy, signposting, and community partnerships. Their aim is not just to alleviate hunger, but to help people build long-term resilience and stability.

Please note: This project has an estimated time commitment of 2 hours per week for 3 months, totalling around 24 hours. All Link UP London Skilled Volunteering Projects are designed to work flexibly around the schedule of the Skilled Volunteer. This time commitment can be agreed and spread over a time frame that works for both the Skilled Volunteer and the SGO they are supporting.

Borough: Haringey
