Who we are looking for: We are looking for a Skilled Volunteer with experience identifying and organising retail spaces.
Project brief: Handmade Stories would like a Skilled Volunteer to help them identify a retail space for their organisation in the central boroughs of London. They would like assistance with researching support options, including council initiatives, small business schemes, and funding opportunities, and guidance on how to apply for and secure a space.
Who you’ll be supporting: Handmade Stories is a slow fashion brand that makes beautiful, quality clothing, jewellery, accessories and homeware. They are a social enterprise that supports women in rural communities in the Andes, artisans, and men in prison in Peru so they can reach economic independence and keep their traditions alive.
All Link UP London Skilled Volunteering Projects are designed to work around the schedule of the Skilled Volunteer. The time commitment above will be agreed and spread over a time frame that works for both the Skilled Volunteer and the SGO they are supporting. This could range from a few days to a few months.
