Who We Are Looking For:

London Homeless Collective/Homeless Link is seeking a Skilled Volunteer with marketing and campaign planning experience to help design and deliver a high-impact promotional campaign for The London Walk 2026 which takes place in March 2026. With limited lead time and no budget, the ideal volunteer will be creative, strategic, and confident in using a range of digital and partnership-led marketing channels to drive engagement and participation.

Project Brief:

The London Walk is a mass participation fundraising event run by London Homeless Collective/Homeless Link that brings charities and supporters together to raise vital funds to help end homelessness. London Homeless Collective/Homeless Link wants to significantly increase awareness and participation. They would like a Skilled Volunteer to help them:
  • Develop a clear and practical marketing campaign plan to maximise awareness and engagement for The London Walk.
  • Identify and prioritise key promotional channels, partners, messaging, and opportunities to reach target audiences effectively.
  • Support the production and distribution of compelling promotional content and materials across selected channels.

Who You’ll Be Supporting:

London Homeless Collective / Homeless Link is the national membership charity for organisations working directly with people who experience homelessness in England. Their inspiring mission is to make services better and campaign for the policy changes needed to end homelessness for good.
Homeless Link supports a network of over 800 member organisations, strengthening frontline services, influencing national policy, and helping thousands of people move away from homelessness each year.

Your impact:

By supporting this project, the Skilled Volunteer will help London Homeless Collective/Homeless Link reach more people, engage more charities, and raise vital funds across the sector. This will directly support organisations working on the frontline of homelessness.

Please note: This project has an estimated time commitment of 2 hours per week for 3 months, totalling around 24 hours. All Link UP London Skilled Volunteering Projects are designed to work flexibly around the schedule of the Skilled Volunteer. This time commitment can be agreed and spread over a time frame that works for both the Skilled Volunteer and the SGO they are supporting.
