Who We Are Looking For:

Abdul Mageed Educational Trust is seeking a Skilled Volunteer with expertise in organisational strategy and long-term planning to conduct a structured review of their current work and co-create a five-year strategy document that will guide their future growth and impact.

Project Brief:

Abdul Mageed Educational Trust delivers a growing range of community programmes but does not yet have a formalised long-term strategy to guide their development. With increasing demand for their services and an ambitious vision for the future, they are seeking support to translate their energy and experience into a clear, structured five-year plan.

The Volunteer Will:
  • Conduct a review of current structure, goals, and processes to understand their strengths and areas for development.
  • Provide strategic advice on organisational direction, including setting clear and measurable priorities that reflect their mission and community impact goals.
  • Collaborate with the team to create a detailed five-year strategy document outlining immediate actions and long-term objectives, to serve as a roadmap for sustainable growth.

Who You’ll Be Supporting:

The Abdul Mageed Educational Trust is an charity that supports and empowers individuals from diverse communities in London, through a variety of impactful projects. Their mission is to unlock the potential of every individual — irrespective of background or circumstance — by fostering a community where knowledge empowers, connections nourish, and self-sufficiency thrives. Delivering health and wellbeing workshops, domestic violence awareness support, refugee integration initiatives, and their community-run Sunflower Cooperative, AMET has supported hundreds of people.

Your Impact:

A robust five-year strategy will give Abdul Mageed Educational Trust the focus and direction needed to grow sustainably and maximise their impact. For the marginalised and hard-to-reach communities across London who rely on AMET’s programmes, this means more consistent services, greater reach, and an organisation better equipped to stand up for those who need it most.

Please note: This project has an estimated time commitment of 2 hours per week for 3 months, totalling around 24 hours. All Link UP London Skilled Volunteering Projects are designed to work flexibly around the schedule of the Skilled Volunteer. This time commitment can be agreed and spread over a time frame that works for both the Skilled Volunteer and the SGO they are supporting.
