Who We Are Looking For:

Sanctuary for Sisterhood is seeking a Skilled Volunteer with expertise in social media strategy and content planning to review their current online presence, develop a sustainable social media strategy, and equip the team with the tools and guidance to implement it independently.

Project Brief:

Sanctuary for Sisterhood has an active presence on Instagram and LinkedIn, with established content pillars and a brand voice, and is looking to make better use of these platforms to extend the reach of their vital work. As the organisation grows, they are keen to develop a more strategic and consistent approach to social media that can be maintained by the team on an ongoing basis.

The Volunteer Will:
  • Conduct a review of current social media channels, identifying strengths and opportunities for improvement in reach, engagement, and brand consistency.
  • Develop a social media strategy including a content calendar aligned to key campaigns such as Domestic Abuse Awareness Month (October).
  • Provide practical tips, strategic recommendations, and documented processes to enable the team to sustain and grow their online presence independently.

Who You’ll Be Supporting:

Sanctuary for Sisterhood is a London-based community interest company on a mission to support underrepresented women who have experienced adversity, trauma, or isolation. They create safe, nurturing spaces where women can heal, grow, and find their voice through peer support, trauma-informed domestic abuse workshops, and creative programmes using art, movement, and making as pathways to wellbeing.

Your Impact:

Greater visibility for Sanctuary for Sisterhood means a greater chance that women experiencing domestic abuse, coercive control, or isolation will find the support they need. By helping to grow and sustain their online presence, this Skilled Volunteer will directly extend the reach of their vital services, ensuring that the women who need them most can find them.

Please note: This project has an estimated time commitment of 2 hours per week for 3 months, totalling around 24 hours. All Link UP London Skilled Volunteering Projects are designed to work flexibly around the schedule of the Skilled Volunteer. This time commitment can be agreed and spread over a time frame that works for both the Skilled Volunteer and the SGO they are supporting.
