Who We Are Looking For:

Read Easy Ealing is seeking a Skilled Volunteer with experience in social media strategy and content planning to help raise awareness of its free one-to-one reading coaching.

Project Brief:

Read Easy Ealing wants to improve its presence on LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok to better connect with adults who struggle to read, volunteer coaches, and referral agencies. The volunteer will create a clear, audience-focused social media strategy that the Publicity Coordinator can manage, helping the charity reach more readers, volunteers, and referral partners.

The Skilled Volunteer will help:
  • Review existing social media activity and audience engagement.
  • Identify target audiences and craft effective messaging for each.
  • Develop a practical social media strategy and content plan.
  • Recommend processes and tools to maintain social media presence moving forward.

Who You’ll Be Supporting:

Read Easy Ealing, part of Read Easy UK, transforms lives by helping adults learn to read with confidence through free, one-to-one coaching. Around 14,000 adults in Ealing struggle with reading, and the charity empowers learners to gain confidence, independence, and life-changing opportunities.

Your Impact:

This role will enable Read Easy Ealing to reach more adults in need, recruit new volunteer coaches, and strengthen local partnerships, helping the charity maximise its life-changing impact across the borough.

Please note:
This project has an estimated time commitment of 2 hours per week for 3 months, totalling around 24 hours. All Link UP London Skilled Volunteering Projects are designed to work flexibly around the schedule of the Skilled Volunteer. This time commitment can be agreed and spread over a time frame that works for both the Skilled Volunteer and the SGO they are supporting.
