Who we are looking for: We are looking for a Skilled Volunteer with Social Media expertise.
Project brief: The Different Strokes London Central Exercise & Support Group wants to increase the number of stroke survivors attending their weekly meetings by improving their presence on social media. They would like a Skilled Volunteer to help them develop their social media platforms, and advise on a Social Media Strategy. This strategy will focus on possible content and how to best access their target audiences. They hope that these platforms will help them attract partnerships and increase their group membership.
Who you’ll be supporting: Different Strokes are a National Charity with a network of exercise and support groups providing help for working age and younger stroke survivors across the UK. There are 30 groups around the UK where stroke survivors can connect with each other to share experiences and receive emotional support. Each group is run by a volunteer coordinator and many of their coordinators are stroke survivors themselves. The London Central Exercise & Support Group supports stroke survivors in the central London area.
All Link UP London Skilled Volunteering Projects are designed to work around the schedule of the Skilled Volunteer. The time commitment above will be agreed and spread over a time frame that works for both the Skilled Volunteer and the SGO they are supporting. This could range from a few days to a few months.
