Who We Are Looking For:

YourStance is seeking a Skilled Volunteer with expertise in content creation, strategic communications and social media.

Project Brief:

YourStance is a clinician-led grassroots organisation combatting serious youth violence by equipping young people aged 11–25 across London with lifesaving skills such as CPR and haemorrhage control. As they grow, they require support in developing compelling content and crafting a strategic plan to enhance their communications and impact.

This project will include:
  • Help refine their core messaging and brand voice with guidelines for future use.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop content ideas aligned with YourStance’s mission.
  • Provide strategic input on improvements they can make across their channels for greater engagement, clarity, and awareness among young people, partners, and funders.

Who You’ll Be Supporting:

YourStance is a clinician-led organisation founded in 2019, dedicated to providing emergency first aid training to young people aged 11–25 in London who are at risk of or affected by serious youth violence. Working in partnership with the NHS Violence Reduction Team and local government statutory bodies, they have reached nearly 5000 young people through nearly 400 workshops across London, and have recently expanded to include sessions for professionals who work directly with  young people vulnerable to violence.

Your impact:

By taking on this role, the volunteer will help YourStance establish coherent communications that amplifies their mission and raises awareness with stakeholders.

Please note: This project has an estimated time commitment of 2 hours per week for 2 months, totalling around 16 hours. All Link UP London Skilled Volunteering Projects are designed to work flexibly around the schedule of the Skilled Volunteer. This time commitment can be agreed and spread over a time frame that works for both the Skilled Volunteer and the SGO they are supporting.
