Who We Are Looking For:

We are looking for a Skilled Volunteer with expertise in human resources and process planning, specifically in volunteer management.

Project Brief:

Reviving Links relies on volunteers to support its mission but currently lacks a formal structure for recruiting, managing, and engaging them effectively. To improve its efficiency and therefore impact, the organisation would like to develop a comprehensive volunteer onboarding process.
This project will involve:
  • Developing a structured volunteer recruitment and onboarding process, including role descriptions, and application forms.
  • Creating essential policies and procedures to ensure the volunteer program is compliant, fit for purpose, and aligned with best practices.
  • Designing volunteer management tools and documentation to support engagement, including expectations, guidelines, and retention strategies.

Who You’ll Be Supporting:
Reviving Links CIC is a social enterprise dedicated to preserving cultural heritage, strengthening community connections, and providing culturally sensitive care services. Through initiatives like intergenerational support groups, Hido iyo Dhaqan workshops, and language classes, they empower individuals with tools for cultural engagement and personal growth. Their holistic approach combines heritage education, training and employability support, and inclusive care, fostering vibrant, connected communities.

Please note: This project has an estimated time commitment of 2 hours per week for 3 months, totalling around 32 hours. All Link UP London Skilled Volunteering Projects are designed to work flexibly around the schedule of the Skilled Volunteer. This time commitment can be agreed and spread over a time frame that works for both the Skilled Volunteer and the SGO they are supporting.
