Who we are looking for: We are looking for a Graphic Designer with experience designing for print.
Project Brief: Youth Realities have been working on a relationship abuse workbook, to help young people learn, navigate and understand the dynamics of relationship abuse through creative, interactive and informative activities. They worked with a graphic designer to bring this to life but felt the final design was dated and not in keeping with their original vision. They would like a Skilled Volunteer to improve upon the current design or re-design the workbook completely. They would like the artwork to be made more engaging, inclusive and attractive to young people (predominantly young women and girls aged 11-25). The book is currently 36 pages and they aim for it to be printed in A4 and A5 to accommodate different accessibility needs. Their goal is to complete this project by the end of the year.
Who you’ll be supporting: Youth Realities is a youth-led charity based in Barnet, addressing teenage relationship abuse through creative education and specialist, survivor-centred support. Their services include 1:1 support, advocacy, wellbeing workshops and group activities.
Time commitment: This project has an estimated time commitment of 4 hours per week for 2 months, totalling around 32 hours. All Link UP London Skilled Volunteering Projects are designed to work flexibly around the schedule of the Skilled Volunteer. This time commitment can be agreed and spread over a time frame that works for both the Skilled Volunteer and the SGO they are supporting.
