Who we're looking for: We are looking for a volunteer with experience in developing campaigns and building partnerships with the media.
Project brief: The Vavengers are about to launch a nationwide campaign demanding equality and change for FGM survivors in the UK. The campaign is supported by well-known activists, celebrities and contacts at the Houses of Parliament. They require a volunteer to help them launch their campaign and to help maximize its impact, including via media appearances. They would like guidance on building meaningful partnerships with news outlets and ensuring their campaign's marketing aligns with their values.
Who you'll be supporting: Islington based Charity, The Vavengers, are an FGM/C (Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting) awareness & action charity led by survivors and activists. They believe ending FGM/C and supporting those affected requires the energy of all communities. The Vavengers exist to bring these communities together and to transform singular experiences into shared action. With the continued direction of survivors and those working directly on the front line, they aim to eradicate FGM/C.
