Social Media Strategy

Clowns Without Borders’ mission is to alleviate the suffering of children through laughter and play, recognising these things as stabilising forces for children living through humanitarian disaster. Through dynamic clown performances and playful, child-centered workshops, the organisation provides emotional comfort and respite to children when they need it the most.  Clowns Without Borders’ aim remains the same - to reconnect children with the things that make them feel human; joy, delight and wonder.

Total length of project: approx. 15-20 hours

Clowns Without Borders are looking to raise the profile of the charity. One key way that’s been identified is through finding their voice on social media, focusing on building a movement who are dedicated to promoting the rights of people living in refugee camps and who will passionately champion the cause and amplify the message.  To do this well, Clowns Without Borders is looking to develop a diverse social media strategy across platforms that will increase their presence online. The strategy needs to take into account the capacity of the team to maintain this going forward and should include the best times for them to post to access their target audience and effective ways to engage them in online discussion.

For this role, we are looking for a volunteer with experience in social media strategy development for small organisations, with a focus on helping them make a big impact!
